The state of Texas continues to look great on Christian Wood. Swapping his former Houston Rockets threads — where he spent the previous two seasons — for his new Dallas Mavericks jersey, Wood got right down to business on opening night of the 2022-23 season. Coming off the bench with a starter’s energy, Wood scores from inside and out while bringing his energetic brand of basketball to Dallas. Between the third and fourth quarters, Wood scored 16 straight points for his new squad – including an 11-0 personal run. Wood’s new squad came up short against the Phoenix Suns but his impact was felt in the form of 25 points, eight rebounds, two assists and four three-pointers in the October 19, 2022 showdown.
